Mr. Lang is a 2011 MBA Candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is a first year director of Private Equity for the Entrepreneurship. Before attending UCLA Anderson, he worked as a Private Equity Analyst for BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE:BLK) where he was responsible for investing and overseeing partnership and co-investment capital. He invested in venture capital, growth equity, leveraged buyout, mezzanine, and distressed investments. Before joining BlackRock, he worked for Cambridge Associates, LLC as an Investment Consultant. Ed graduated with dual degrees in Mathematics and Economics.
Ari Stein, Intern

In addition to his B.A. in Political Science, Mr. Stein also earned minors Internet Studies and International Business, and made Dean's list four out of his eight quarters at Brandeis University. Mr. Stein is a 2010 MBA candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is VP of Strategic Partnerships for the International Business Association, and serves as the Anderson Brand Manager on the Anderson Student Association Council. Before attending UCLA Anderson to receive his MBA in Marketing and Strategy, Mr. Stein served as Policy and Political Strategist in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he worked on a range of issues. This past summer, he gained experience in Social Media Marketing while working for AltUse.com, a web start up in the Los Angeles area, and continues to grow his internet experience with a Business Development Internship at Cooking.com.
William Wong, Intern

Mr. Wong is a 2010 JD candidate at UCLA School of Law, where he is the Chief Articles Editor of the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology and also serves on the Executive Board of the UCLA Moot Court Honors Program. Mr. Wong is also a registered patent agent. During law school, Mr. Wong externed for the the Honorable S. James Otero of the Central District Court of California and the Honorable Alice Schlesinger of the New York State Supreme Court. Mr. Wong was also an intellectual property intern for Kirkland & Ellis LLP, one of the nation's premiere patent litigation law firms. Mr. Wong currently interns for the UCLA Office of Intellectual Property. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Wong worked as a validaton engineering consultant for PharmaSys Life Science Consulting Inc. where he advised biotech, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies comply with the FDA's 21 CFR Title 21 regulations. Clients served included GlaxoSmithKline USA, GlaxoSmithKline UK, Dial Inc., among others. Mr. Wong holds a B.E. in Biomedical Engineerng, magna cum laude, and a minor in Engineering Management. As part of his Engineering Management minor, Mr. Wong completed an MBA course at the Vanderbilt Owen School of Management titled, Product Innovation and Design, where he was assigned a team project to design and develop iPod accessories for Griffin Technology. Mr. Wong's team developed the "iHealth," which was an iPod accessory with pedometer, heart rate monitor, and calorie watch features. Because of this experience, Mr. Wong is excited to once again to work with MBA students to bring another product to the marketplace.

Dr. Qi is an experienced scientist with over 6-year research experience in the field of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. Before attending UCLA Anderson, Dr. Qi had worked 4 years for the Chinese NASA as a mechanical engineer and 6 years in the U.S high-tech industries as a scientist. He has made 20 journal and book publications and filed 4 US Provisional Patents. By attending UCLA Anderson, Dr. Qi expects to extend his career from the idea-to-technology development stage to the technology-to-business transformation phase.
Alexey Aleshin, Intern

UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine: MD Candidate 2012
Mr. Aleshin is a 2012 joint MD/MBA candidate at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and UCLA Anderson School of Management. While in medical school, Mr. Aleshin founded and ran Westwood Medical Consulting Group LLC, a student-run consulting organization dedicated to partnering with medical companies to solve pressing problems facing these organizations. Additionally, he has over 6 years of research experience in the fields of oncology and computational genomics, most recently spending three years at UCLA’s Translational Cancer Center in Dr. Dennis Slamon’s lab, where he worked to define novel predictive molecular markers to better guide targeted cancer therapy. Prior to medical school, Mr. Aleshin interned at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals where he was responsible for setting up high content screening methods for cancer drug discovery and characterization. He has published articles in journals such as Neoplasia, MBE, and JBC. His work has also been presented at various conferences including American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Association for Cancer Research.
